Gary Kash, Owner/Consultant


As founder of Insights in Marketing, Gary has spent over 20 years helping companies identify successful strategies, executions and new products to grow their businesses through a deeper understanding of their consumers.

Gary has worked with a diverse group of clients in a variety of industries, including food and beverage, packaged goods, financial services, medical and consumer electronics, to name a few.

Gary's prior experience includes:

  • Management Consultant with The Cambridge Group specializing in positioning and new products
  • Account Supervisor at Leo Burnett managing half the Kellogg cereal business. Gary identified the strategy that lead to the Shadows campaign for Frosted Flakes, a step that grew the brand $35 million in a single year and a campaign that ran for 20 years.
  • Brand Manager at Kraft/General Foods working in the Maxwell House Division

Gary has an MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago and is a member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA). He is a frequent guest lecturer on topics such as 'How to do Great Qualitative,' 'How to Effectively Use Qualitative for Advertising Development' and 'Positioning a Brand: How to Win the Battle in a Competitive Marketplace.' Gary is also a co-founder, former President of and a Trustee for the Center for Enriched Living, a charity focused on enriching the lives of people with developmental disabilities.
